Corvette 340

The all-new Corvette 340 has been successfully launched, and it has exceeded our expectations! Initial readings indicate a top speed of close to 24 knots with its standard Yanmar 315 hp diesel engines. The first 340 was shipped to the UK in the spring of 2010, and the first 340 arrived in the U.S. in September 2010. Click here to see our newest photos.

The original 320 vs. the new 340

The original Corvette 320 is no longer in production, but for those of you who are familiar with it, we offer this comparison with the new 340.

Aft Cabin Construction The 340 offers a larger owner's stateroom and a larger main saloon. By widening the raised aft deck to the full width of the hull, a spacious aft cabin complete with separate head and shower compartments has been created. Featuring a centerline double berth, a large hanging locker, a desk/vanity and abundant storage cabinets and drawers, the spaciousness and comfort of this owner's stateroom is normally found only on 40 + foot yachts. The living space of the exterior aft deck is also increased.

The main saloon and galley of the new 340 is also larger than that of the 320. The vessel's side decks have been narrowed by 6" on each side to 18", which is still wide enough to move about safely. The extra foot in interior space makes the saloon more spacious and easier to prepare meals in the galley, especially when there are guests aboard. The added 12" in width also increases the size of the flying bridge.

Interior Deck Plan

Standard on the 340 is an extended fiberglass swim platform, which makes it easier to board from a dinghy and also provides room to stow a dinghy vertically on brackets such as the Sea Wise davit system.

The 340 is powered with twin Yanmar 6LPA-STP2 315 hp diesel engines as standard. Cummins QSB 330 hp engines are offered as options. There is room for an optional genset. Specially constructed, non-corrosive fuel tanks are now standard, and extended tanks can be ordered to increase fuel capacity.
